Welcome to our saltwater farm.
Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation on a 100 acre working salt-water farm in Down East, Maine. While sitting on the deck of the cottage you will be surrounded by a harbor view, a tidal brook, hay fields, gardens, birds and the sounds of nature. Take a walk in the woods out back or up nearby John B Mountain. You will also enjoy fresh eggs and access to the vegetable gardens. Kayaks and canoes have easy access to Orcutt's Harbor.

The island-like geography of Brooksville provides an off the beaten path feel while at the same time offering a wide variety of easy day trips to places like Holbrook Island Sanctuary, Blue Hill, Deer Isle – Stonington, Isle au Haut, and historic Castine. Mount Desert Island is just over an hour away where you can enjoy Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

Our guests have included families with young children, honeymooners, retired couples, sailors needing some "land time", young adults seeking a farm experience and people who grew up here looking to reconnect. Regardless of age or purpose, they all seem to enjoy their stay and often return. Similarly, we enjoy having guests in the cottage and will assist in any way we can to make your visit memorable.

Cottage

You will arrive to a clean and fresh cottage complete with the essential amenities for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. As your hosts, we will help in any way we can to maximize your enjoyment of the cottage, farm and surrounding area. The cottage is set off from the farm offering a comfortable level of privacy. It accommodates four people and wi-fi is provided.

Harborview Farm

On the farm you will have access to fresh eggs and vegetables; a tidal brook that runs alongside the cottage allowing for tide dependent harbor access for kayaks, and paths through the woods for exploring the back forty.

We are just over an hour from one of the most beautiful national parks in the country.  Take a day trip over to the park and Bar Harbor and then return to the peacefulness of the cottage to recharge for your next adventure.
